CT Scan
Computed Tomography, also known as CT Scan, uses X-rays to obtain detailed images of the chest, head, abdomen, pelvis, spine, neck, and other areas of the body.

CTA (Angiogram)
It evaluates blood flow in the arteries and veins and is performed in areas such as the brain, kidneys, pelvis, extremities, lungs, and neck.
CT Enterography
This requires preparation with a special oral contrast to fill the small intestine, allowing the identification of abnormalities such as masses or polyps. It is frequently performed in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, such as Crohn’s disease.
Important
- You must arrive 30 minutes before your appointment and bring any relevant previous studies.
- For the test, you should not bring jewelry, a cellphone, a watch, makeup, or any metal items on your body, including wired underwear.
- For an abdominal pelvic CT scan or enterography, you must be fasting.
- The study can be performed with or without contrast. If you are allergic to contrast, please inform us when scheduling your appointment. Depending on the severity of your allergy, premedication will be prescribed; if you cannot tolerate it, the study will be done WITHOUT contrast.
- Patients over 60 years old or diabetic must present BUN and Creatinine results from the last 90 days when scheduling the appointment or on the day of the study.
- For dialysis patients, arrangements will be made with your dialysis center to go directly to dialysis after a study involving contrast.
