Ultrasound
General Ultrasound
This study, also known as sonogram, uses sound waves to examine the organs and can be performed in any part of the body, such as the neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis, among other areas.

Sonomammography
Provides detailed images of internal breast tissue, helping to identify problems in the area and differentiate between cysts and solid nodules.
Vascular Ultrasound (Doppler)
Evaluates the circulatory system, detecting blockages in arteries and veins, as well as the presence of blood clots.
Elastography
It is used to evaluate the degree of stiffness in liver tissue. A computerized measure of tissue stiffness is obtained and compared to normal chart results to determine liver stiffness.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Produces detailed images of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and joints, providing information on muscle tears, ligament tears, characterization of solid or cystic masses, and other related pathology.
Important
- You must arrive 30 minutes before your appointment and bring any relevant previous studies.
- For abdominal, abdominal Doppler, rectal, aortic or elastography studies, the patient must be fasting.
